What you feel, you attract.

What you imagine, you create.

Meet Rhonda

Hello, I am an educator who seeks to make people of any age feel good in their own skin. That means physically, mentally, and emotionally. In the capacity of yoga and meditation instructor, I aid people to connect body, breath, and mind for improved physical, emotional, and mental health. Or as a school teacher/presenter, I bring the subject matter to life with age-appropriate examples and keep the subject alive through mental and/or physical movement. As an author, I bring yoga ethics to a younger or newer audience with an emphasis on principles of attitudes and behaviors.

My training is in the Iyengar Yoga and Hatha Yoga traditions as well as in Trauma-based Yoga. My journey began after an ACL injury revealed to me that I was imbalanced on several levels and the only one who ultimately could do the work was me. I was drawn to Iyengar Yoga because of the attention to detail and search for alignment. Teacher training certification gave me a way to experience and talk about the layers of the self in order to gain a deeper understanding of oneself.

Yoga & Meditation

I am a 500hr Registered Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance and have been teaching for over 20 years. Yoga Niche in Lincoln Park, Chicago has been my studio for over 10 years.

I take my teaching into schools because I believe starting practices early teaches young people the art of listening to themselves and others. I also bring yoga to businesses to show that you don’t have to own a mat to embrace yogic principles of finding steadiness. Schools, residences, and businesses I’ve joined with include Northwestern University, DePaul College Prep, St. Ignatius College Prep, St. Clement Elementary, German International School Chicago, Our Lady of Tepeyac Elementary, Lakeshore Sport and Fitness, City of Chicago, Shalom Temple, Belmont Village Lincoln Park, Kirkland and Ellis, Life-XT.

Thinking, feeling, and imagining are active and when we become aware of these, we are already practicing the mindfulness of yoga. Yogis do it on the mat but don’t confine themselves to the mat. Join me to experience mindful action in your life.
